Quick update. It’s 12:45pm and we’re back at the hotel in SLC. Bong’s bike is fixed, big thanks to BMW Motorcycles of North Salt Lake City for getting this done. They actually pulled an entire clutch master cylinder off one of their bikes to get this done. Thank you guys, you rock!
Now for thebad news. Steve’s Honda VFR had a stator go. This is part of the electrical system that recharges the battery. The Honda shop did not have one in stock, but has got one coming express overnight and will be here tomorrow. Steve is staying back to wait for his bike while the rest of us push on. Tonight’s target is the entrance to Bryce Canyon Park, someplace called Ruby’s I think. Tomorrow morning we’ll do highway 12 and the Hogsback and intercept Steve in Hanksville, UT. – hopefully
ok time for a quick bite and we’re on the road again. Ruby’s is supposed to have internet access in the rooms so I’ll update more later.

Hope you guys get back on track after all of the mechanical difficulties.
Marty, thanks for blogging for those of us left behind!
What was Mark’s (un)official speed pass on the Salt Flats?
Just how big is the tank on that VFR anyway?
Inquiring minds want to know …
Matt
Great news on getting Bong’s bike back on the road. Bummer about Steve’s. At least you are in a major city for those problems, not in the middle of Oregon someplace.
Hopefully Steve will only miss a day or so and can catch up soon. Steve, you just need to get the next iron butt award to catch them!
Looking forward to the next batch of pics.
Mark- slaving away at work on this wonderful day, rather than out riding- Hollingsworth
Matt, no matter how big it is – it’s NEVER big enough!!!!!
